The Alliance of Political Parties of Iranian Kurdistan condemns in the strongest terms the drone attacks targeting Erbil and Duhok, including the residence of Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani. These attacks represent a serious escalation and a direct threat to the security and stability of the Kurdistan Region.

The Alliance underlines that such attacks are part of a broader destabilization effort driven by the Islamic Republic of Iran and other hostile actors, aimed at undermining peace in the region. In recent weeks, the Kurdistan Region has increasingly been drawn into regional tensions involving Iran, the United States, and Israel, resulting in civilian and Peshmerga casualties.

The Alliance calls on the Iraqi federal government and the international community to take immediate and decisive action to halt these violations and prevent further escalation. It reaffirms its full support for the sovereignty, security, and stability of the Kurdistan Region.
