Internal Security Forces enter the cities of Al-Hasakah and Kobani

On Monday, February 2, 2026, forces affiliated with the Syrian Ministry of Internal Security entered the cities of Al-Hasakah and Kobani, in accordance with the agreement announced between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Damascus government.

Since this morning, a curfew has been in effect in Al-Hasakah to prevent any incidents during the entry of internal security forces.

At the same time, international coalition fighter jets have remained in the sky above Al-Hasakah.

A Yekiti Media correspondent reported that a loud explosion was heard south of Al-Hasakah, but local authorities have not disclosed the cause.

Internal security forces are scheduled to arrive to Qamishlo on Tuesday.
