Kurdish youth kidnapped from Afrin

Unidentified gunmen kidnapped a young Kurdish man from the Afrin region a few days ago, according to political activist Mustafa Sheikho.

“In August 19, 2025, an unknown group kidnapped the Kurdish youth Hussein Kamal Sheikho in the city of Afrin near the al-Qabban roundabout,” Sheikho told Yekiti Media.

Sheikho noted that Hussein Kamal Sheikho works there as a laborer in a generator project.

He pointed out that the kidnapper returned about two months ago from Turkey and his fate is still unknown, and he comes from the village of Musaka in Rajo district.

It should be noted that violations in the Afrin region are still ongoing, despite the decrease in their frequency.
