In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Regarding the latest developments and events in Syria, yesterday we held an important joint meeting with President Trump’s Special Envoy for Syria, the Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, and the President of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, as part of our efforts to address the crisis.

We hope that the fighting, tensions, and escalation currently taking place between Syrian government forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces will cease as soon as possible, and that all parties will return to the agreements previously concluded to resolve disputes and achieve stability between the Syrian parties.

We also consider the decree issued by the Syrian president on the rights of the Kurds to be a positive step in the right direction, and we hope that it will form a basis that will be strengthened and enriched with the agreement of the parties concerned, so that it can be used to build the foundations for guaranteeing the rights of the Kurdish people on a legal and constitutional basis.
