In an interview with CBS News, Mustafa Hijri, the secretary-general of the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (#PDKI), welcomed the idea of foreign strikes against the Iranian regime’s centers of repression. He said such actions should “hit the centers of the suppressing forces who are shooting people on the streets,” as well as the regime’s so-called “justice” institutions, which he described as serving the government’s oppressive apparatus.
Hijri added that Kurdistan Peshmerga forces—including trained Kurdish Peshmerga fighters positioned across the border—are ready to return “when the day comes,” once conditions are deemed favorable for supporting the broader struggle inside Iran.
