President Barzani Congratulates Barham Salih

In a phone call, President Masoud Barzani congratulated Dr. Barham Salih on his appointment as United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

President Barzani expressed his pleasure at seeing a Kurdish figure assuming such an important role at the United Nations and wished Dr. Salih success and good fortune.

Dr. Barham Salih is the former President of the Federal Republic of Iraq and former President of the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq. He has previously held leadership positions in the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and the Iraqi government.
