Dozens of shop owners in Amuda protested on Monday, demanding that electricity be supplied to shops in the city center.
The protesters blocked the public road for several minutes, then staged a sit-in in front of the municipality to convey their message, but no municipal officials met with them.
The protesters chanted slogans demanding electricity for shops.
A number of protesters said that electricity had been cut off in the city center for two months, demanding that it be restored, especially since this is the holiday season and Ramadan.
Due to corruption and nepotism in the administration led by the Democratic Union Party, all areas under its control have suffered from power outages for many years, and residents rely on solar energy and electricity from generators.
