The father of a Kurdish minor abducted by the (Revolutionary Youth) wing of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and the commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Mazloum Abdi, has demanded that his son be returned to him, confirming that his son was abducted nearly a month ago.
In a video recording, Ahmad Abdulbaqi, the father of the 16-year-old abductee, Parwan Ahmad Abdulbaqi, issued an appeal to the relevant authorities, children’s rights organizations, and humanitarian groups, demanding the return of his minor son. Three weeks have passed since his abduction in the city of Qamishlo, and his fate remains unknown. He has visited all centers affiliated with the Democratic Union Party (PYD) and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), but to no avail.
According to the boy’s father, the Revolutionary Youth abducted the 16-year-old Kurdish boy, Parwan Ahmed Abdulbaki, in the city of Qamishlo in March 27, 2026, and took him to their compulsory recruitment camps with the aim of enlisting him into the party’s ranks, noting that he is the only son remaining in Qamishlo among his children.
