The transfer of ISIS prisoners from Syria to Iraq continues

International coalition forces continue to transfer prisoners belonging to the terrorist organization ISIS from prisons controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Syrian Arab Army to Iraq.
The operation, which began several days ago, is still ongoing via land routes and is being accompanied by international coalition forces, amid helicopter and warplane flights, until the prisoner convoys reach detention centers in Iraq.
Observers say that the transfer of members of the terrorist organization by the United States comes as a result of Washington’s realization that the Syrian government is unable to confront the threat of the organization’s return… and a clear message of distrust in the Syrian authorities, at least for now, and Damascus’ inability to manage this complex issue.
News agencies say that the prisoner transfer operation involves about 7,000 members.
Earlier, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani had called on European countries to take back their citizens detained by ISIS. The Iraqi Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Peshmerga also deployed thousands of soldiers and Peshmerga along the Iraqi-Syrian border to prevent the infiltration of members of the terrorist organization.
