Iranian militias kidnap dozens of displaced Kurds in the countryside of Aleppo

The Human Rights Organization in Afrin said: Pro-Iranian militias kidnapped dozens of displaced civilians from the Afrin region in Syrian Kurdistan, including women and children.

On its Facebook page, the Human Rights Organization in Afrin revealed that the pro-Iranian militias, stationed in the city of Zahra in the northern countryside of Aleppo, led by the so-called “Muhammad Jaafar al-Khatib”, carried out a large-scale kidnapping campaign on Saturday, November 16, 2024, targeting about 50 people displaced from the Afrin region and the people of the Shirawa district, including women and children, and also seized their cars and took them to an unknown location, while the reasons for the kidnapping are still unknown to this moment.
The human rights organization also revealed the identities of some of the kidnapped people:

1- Nashat Abdo, from the village of Jiqalma – Raju district, car number 753087.
2- Abdul Rahman Talib, from the village of Uqiba/Uqaiba in the Shirawa district, owner of a 24-passenger microbus.
3- Muhammad Sabry Omar, from the village of Uqiba/Uqaiba in the Shirawa district, was driving a cargo vehicle belonging to the Syrian regime’s grain company loaded with flour from the allocations of the Deir Jamal bakery.
4- Mahmoud Hassan Habash, from the village of Alkano in the Shih/Sheikh Al-Hadid district, car number 749827, only his car was seized and he was released yesterday, Wednesday, November 20, 2024.
5- Muhammad Jaafar / Abu Jaafar, from the town of Badina – Raju district, with his passenger bus, car number 715540.
6- Sheikh Bayram with his Suzu passenger bus.

The organization confirmed that the fate of the kidnapped remains unknown, which raises concerns among their families, in light of the increasing violations committed by the pro-Iranian militias in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
