A statement from the General Secretariat regarding the kidnapping of members of the Council parties by PYD militants
In continuation of the fierce campaign by PYD militants against the Kurdish National Council, the following were kidnapped:
Muhammad Tahlo, a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party – Syria, on the evening of Sunday, June 9, after midnight, from his home in Girkê Legê (Ma’bada)
Ahmed Taher Ramo, a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party – Syria, from the village of Karzayat Guli, on the night of Sunday, June 9th.
Fathi Sarhan Kado, a member of the advisory body of the Kurdistan Yekiti Party, from his home in the city of Qamishlo at one o’clock after midnight on Thursday, June 15, 2024. He is 60 years old and suffers from heart disease and diabetes.
The General Secretariat of the Kurdish National Council strongly condemns the kidnappings carried out by PYD militants and demands that their fate be revealed and their release. It appeals to the international coalition to fight terrorism headed by the United States of America and organizations concerned with human rights to intervene to stop these repressive and intimidating practices against the Kurdish National Council.
