On 20th February , the preparatory committee for the Syrian National Dialogue Conference called for a dialogue session in Damascus on the “National Dialogue Track” for the people of the province of al-Hasakah.

While the Kurdish National Council reaffirms that the Syrian National Dialogue is an essential entry point for shaping the future of the country, the absence of the Kurdish political movement from the National Dialogue sessions represents a violation of the principle of national partnership and ignores the role of a major component of the Syrian people who have suffered discrimination and exclusion for decades and have been deprived of their legitimate rights under successive regimes.

The Kurdish political movement has an integrated vision that reflects the suffering of the Kurdish people and offers realistic solutions to address their issues within an inclusive national framework.

Any national dialogue on the future of Syria cannot be serious or fruitful unless it ensures the effective participation of the various components, primarily the Kurdish people, represented by their political forces.

A comprehensive dialogue, based on the principles of partnership and mutual recognition, is the only way to lay the foundations of a new Syria, built on the foundations of justice, respect for political pluralism and equal citizenship, without any exclusion or marginalization of national forces.
