First day of PUK’s Congress

On Saturday, the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan began holding its 4th Congress in the city of Sulaymaniyah, which will last for several days.

The Congress elected a committee to run its business, consisting of: Qadir Hama Jan, Arslan Bayiz, Dler Sayed Majid, Mala Yassin and Paiman Muhammad.

Also, the 4th Congress elected Mr. Kosrat Rasul Ali as Head of the Supreme Political Council of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan. The Supreme Political Council of the PUK includes 8 members from the Political Bureau.

Dr. Barham Salih, Qubad Talabani, Rewaz Faeq, were also elected as a members of the leadership council of the PUK by a majority of votes.
