Serêkaniyê.. al-Islam army seizes the property of a Kurdish Yazidi family

The armed factions loyal to the Turkish army continue to commit crimes and violations against the original residents of the area, including all its components, and the victim, a Kurdish Yazidi family from the city of Serêkaniyê, according to what the city’s activists circulated through social media platforms, and a source from Serêkaniyê for Yekiti Media confirmed the news.

The victim’s family is from the Selo family, and from the residents of Al-Sukaria village. The armed men seized their agricultural land, which is estimated at 750 acres, and within the land there are four electric wells that are fed by the electricity of the Allouk-station, east of Serêkaniyê.

According to the activists, the family has been calling for the armed faction for more than a year to recover its property, and the activists confirm that the armed men are investing these lands and cultivating them with wheat, barley, beans and cotton.

Because of the confiscation of the Selo family’s home, their members are sleeping in the open in front of their land, and in their al-sukariya village east of Serêkaniyê.

Violations and crimes of the factions loyal to the Turkish army, in Afrin, Girê Spî, Serêkaniyê, Syrian Kurdistan, have continued since their invasion in 2018 and 2019, including looting, imposing royalties, arbitrary arrests, forced detention, demanding ransoms, and forcing the original inhabitants of those cities to migrate in order to change the demographics and bring about a demographic change.
