The Democratic Union Party (PYD) gunmen kidnapped a member of the Branch Council of the Kurdistan Democratic Party – Syria in the city of Derik.

On Friday, 29/3/2024, PYD gunmen raided the home of Rakan Ahmed, a member of the sub-council of the Kurdistan Democratic Party – Syria, in the town of Girke Lage in Syrian Kurdistan.

PYD gunmen took journalist Rakan Ahmed to an unknown destination, and his fate remains unknown since the moment he was kidnapped.

Rakan Ahmed works for the local news agency Nodem.
