Democratic Union Party gunmen kidnap a member of The Kurdish National Council

Gunmen from the PYD administration kidnapped a member of the Kurdish National Council in Syria’s Girke Lage Locality and took him to an unknown destination.

On Monday, April 1, 2024, PYD gunmen raided the workplace of “Marwan Hussein ,” a youth activist and member of the Local Council of the Kurdish National Council in the town of Girke Lage in Syrian Kurdistan, and took him to an unknown destination.

The Kurdish National Council in a statement  denounced strongly these violations against the most basic human rights against citizens, the council’s comrades and its supporters.

he Kurdish National Council stressed that “this operation comes as a continuation of intimidatory practices against supporters of the Kurdish National Council to cover up their political and administrative failure.”
