
Revolutionary Youth kidnapped 17 minors

The kidnapping of minors by the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK)-affiliated Revolutionary Youth Organization in the areas controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Syrian Kurdistan and northern Syria has increased in recent days.
In recent days, the following names have been documented.
Diala Aliko, born in 2010, from the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood, kidnapped in April 3, 2025
Kamiran Hamo Ismail, 13 years old, from the village of Arnah in Kobani, kidnapped in April 4, 2025
Hanan Abdulrahman Abdo, 13 years old, from Afrin and living in Kobani city, kidnapped in April 4, 2025
Nirouz Mustafa Hamlo, 15 years old, from the village of Mateen in Kobani, kidnapped in March 17, 2025
Farhad Ahmad Saadoun, born in 2010, from Kobani and living in Raqqa, kidnapped at the beginning of 2025

In 2019, SDF commander Mazloum Abdi signed a commitment plan with UN Representative for Children and Armed Conflict Virginia Gamba to end and prevent the recruitment and use of children under the age of 18 in military operations.
According to observers, the Jawanin Shorshkar/Revolutionary Youth organization aims to brainwash children with the ideologies of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in order to recruit them into the party’s military ranks.
