Greetings,
We deeply appreciate your efforts to unify the Kurdish political stance in Syria. We address this letter to you regarding our family members who have been forcibly disappeared in the prisons of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
Honored Representatives,
The fate of our loved ones remains unknown since their abduction until the time of writing this letter.
Honored Representatives,
We call upon you to exert pressure on the leadership of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to disclose the whereabouts of our family members who are forcibly detained in their prisons. We also urge you to ensure that we are allowed to visit them to check on their wellbeing and to appoint legal representation for their defense.
We hold the leadership of the Syrian Democratic Forces fully responsible for the safety and wellbeing of our forcibly disappeared family members.
Below is a list of the abductees, along with the locations and dates of their abductions:
– Jamil Omar (Qamishlo, July 13, 2012).
– Bahzad Dorsin (Derik, October 24, 2012).
– Nidhal Othman (Derik, October 24, 2012).
– Ahmad Sido (Afrin, September 10, 2013).
– Idris Alou (Afrin, November 8, 2013).
– Amir Hamid (Dirbasiye, January 11, 2014).
– Fouad Ibrahim (Derik, March 24, 2017).
Additionally, the eight Kurdish officers and their civilian companion abducted on April 16, 2013, in Qamishlo:
Brigadier General Mohammed Khalil Ali – Colonel Mohammed Haitham – Colonel Hassan Oso – Colonel Mohammed Gulla Khairi – Lieutenant Colonel Shouki Othman – Major Bahzad Naso – Captain Hussein Bakr – First Lieutenant Adnan Barazi – Civilian companion of the officers, Ragheb Mahmoud.
