ARK News.. The Presidency of the Kurdish National Council (KNC) in Syria has issued a clarification regarding false information circulated on some social media platforms about the Council’s stance on the Kurdish-Kurdish dialogue.

Below is the full text of the clarification:

Some social media pages and reporters have published incorrect information regarding the position of the Kurdish National Council on the Kurdish-Kurdish dialogue. We hereby affirm the following:

The information mentioned in these posts is entirely baseless and does not reflect the position of the Kurdish National Council.

The Kurdish National Council considers the establishment of a unified Kurdish position a strategic choice. The Council is actively working towards this goal in line with the rights of our people and their national cause, while considering the current phase’s developments and the responsibilities of the post-dictatorship era.

The Council’s efforts to achieve Kurdish unity do not contradict its work within the Syrian National Coalition or with other Syrian national forces. These efforts aim to serve the aspirations of the Syrian people in all its components and ensure the rights of the Kurdish people in Syria.

We urge everyone to verify information related to the Council through its official spokesperson and its presidency, and to avoid disseminating or circulating false news intended to cause confusion or harm.
