Military police in Afrin arrest a member of the Kurdistan Yekiti Party

At the end of last July, the police in Afrin arrested a member of the Kurdistan Yekiti Party – Syria, Omar Jamil Rasho.

According to local sources, Omar was arrested from his workplace on charges of working with the previous administration in Afrin.

The Kurdish National Council, in a statement dated August 27, 2024, called on the Syrian opposition coalition and Turkey to intervene in order to release Omar Rasho. The council also condemned the violations in Afrin.
