Release of members of the Kurdistan Yekiti Party

On Wednesday, July 24, 2024, Democratic Union Party gunmen released three detainees from the Kurdistan Yekiti Party.

Those released are: Nasser Jaro, Majdal Haj Qasim, and Saleh Baghari.

Nasr Jaro was arrested on April 21, 2024, and Majdal Haj Qasim and Saleh Baghari were arrested on May 9, 2024. They are also members of the Khanaf Kurdish folklore group and residents of the city of Amuda.

The Kurdistan Yekiti Party, a major party in the Kurdish National Council in Syria.

Nine members of the Kurdish National Council are still detained by Democratic Union Party gunmen, including journalist Berivan Ismail.
