During September 2024 the PKK-affiliated Ciwanên Şoreşger organization/ Revolutionary Youth kidnapped 4 children from Qamshlo, Alhasaka and Alraqqa cities.
And A local source told Yekiti Media, “The Ciwanên Şoreşger organization of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party has kidnapped the minor boy Mhmad Imad Salim 14 years old, he kidnapped from Alhasaka city. He is displaced from the villages of the Srekane region. on 19th September 2024
And The Ciwanên Şoreşger organization has kidnapped the minor boy Ahmed Mhmad Alibrahim 14 years old, he kidnapped from Qamshlo city. on 7th September 2024
And in Alraqqa city the Ciwanên Şoreşger organization has kidnapped the minor boy Khalid Mahmod Alhamad 14 years old. on 11th September 2024. and the minor boy Ibrahim Khlil Alibrahim. on 8th September 2024. and he is from Alhasaka.
The commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, had signed, in 2019, with the United Nations representative for children and armed conflict, Virginia Gamba, a plan of commitment to end and prevent the recruitment of children under the age of 18 and their non-use in military actions.
The Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Syria said: The Syrian Democratic Forces violated their commitment to prevent the recruitment of children and amounted to a war crime. and they added: The recruitment of children under the age of 18 by non-state armed groups is prohibited, and the recruitment of children under the age of 15 may amount to a war crime. In addition, the Syrian Democratic Forces continued to violate their commitment to prevent the recruitment of all children under the age of 18 in areas under their control.
