In 16/7/ 2024 the PKK-affiliated Ciwanên Şoreşger organization/ Revolutionary Youth kidnapped a girl child from Afrin city .
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said: “The Ciwanên Şoreşger organization of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party has kidnapped the minor girl Sedra Hussaen Abdalhannan 14 years old, he kidnapped from From the Al-Shahba area in the countryside of Aleppo city, northern Syria. She is displaced from the villages of the Afrin region.
The commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, had signed, in 2019, with the United Nations representative for children and armed conflict, Virginia Gamba, a plan of commitment to end and prevent the recruitment of children under the age of 18 and their non-use in military actions.
