Jabbar Yawar: America continues to support the Peshmerga forces

Jabbar Yawar, Secretary General of the Ministry of Peshmerga, announced the continued support of US forces to the Peshmerga forces, while denying his knowledge about the withdrawal of US troops from Syria to the province of Erbil.

“All US assistance to the Peshmerga forces, such as military consultations, training and processing of the Peshmerga needs, continues after the US president’s decision to withdraw its forces from Syria,” Jabbar Yawar, secretary-general of the Peshmerga, told PUK media on Sunday.

As for the transfer of US forces from Syria to Erbil province, Yawar added: “As the Peshmerga’s ministry, we do not have information about the withdrawal of these forces to Erbil, he news about the establishment of new US military camps is incorrect.”
