On the morning of Wednesday, January 24, 2024, an armed group affiliated with the Democratic Union Party (PYD) kidnapped engineer Akram Hussein, head of the executive body of the Future Movement of Syrian Kurdistan, a member of the General Secretariat of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, and took him to an unknown party.
The Kurdish National Council in Syria condemns the kidnapping of engineer Akram Hussein, and all intimidating practices against citizens, and calls for his immediate release and an end to these practices that contradict the most basic human.
