Yekiti Media
Within the framework of the Kurdistan National Council’s commemoration of the forty-fifth anniversary of the passing of the spiritual father of the Kurdish nation and the immortal symbol of its struggle, Mulla Mustafa Barzani, PYD militants and its terrorist arm, attacked the commemoration place in the city of Kobani with sticks and clubs, and broke and burned the contents of the Kurdistan Democratic Party’s office – Syria and burned the flag of Kurdistan amid the denunciation and dissatisfaction of the gathered people.
These gunmen also sabotaged the generator and sound equipment during the celebration in the city of Derbasiye in an attempt to prevent the celebration.
The Kurdish National Council in Syria condemns in the strongest terms what the PYD militants have done and their act of terror that contradicts the most basic human norms, rules, values and human rights principles.
The Council also calls on community activists to denounce these actions, and calls on the International Coalition and America to stand up to their responsibilities by putting pressure on the PYD to deter it and stop such acts of intimidation, which create more anxiety and resentment among our people.
