During October 2024 the PKK-affiliated Ciwanên Şoreşger organization/ Revolutionary Youth kidnapped 4 children from Aleppo , Alhasaka and Tabqa cities.
And A local source told Yekiti Media, “The Ciwanên Şoreşger organization of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party has kidnapped the minor boy Bashar Alaa Abdel Fattah 14 years old, he kidnapped from Tabqa city. on 8th October 2024
And The Ciwanên Şoreşger organization has kidnapped the minor boy Khamis Hamid Al-Omar 13 years old, he kidnapped from Alhasaka city. on 15th October 2024
Members of the Revolutionary Youth kidnapped the two minors, Silva Khalil Hassan, 17 years old, and Naima Hassan Hussein, from the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo Governorate. on 15th October 2024
Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood is under the control of the People’s Protection Units of the Democratic Union Party.
The commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, had signed, in 2019, with the United Nations representative for children and armed conflict, Virginia Gamba, a plan of commitment to end and prevent the recruitment of children under the age of 18 and their non-use in military actions.
The Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Syria said: The Syrian Democratic Forces violated their commitment to prevent the recruitment of children and amounted to a war crime. and they added: The recruitment of children under the age of 18 by non-state armed groups is prohibited, and the recruitment of children under the age of 15 may amount to a war crime. In addition, the Syrian Democratic Forces continued to violate their commitment to prevent the recruitment of all children under the age of 18 in areas under their control.
