Election of Suleiman Osso as President of the Kurdish National Council in Syria

Today, Wednesday , June 5, 2024, the Presidency of the Kurdish National Council unanimously elected Suleiman Osso as President of the Kurdish National Council for the next session.

Suleiman Osso, born in 1959 in the village of Tal Dik in the city of Darbasiyah, was arrested by the Syrian regime several times and by militants of the Democratic Union Party. He was elected in 2018 as secretary of the Kurdistan Yekiti Party, and was also elected secretary in 2022.
