On Sunday morning, the general voting process for the Kurdistan Parliament elections kicked off at its fifth legislative session at 8:00 am.
In this election, 773 candidates from political parties in the Kurdistan Region competed for 111 seats in the Kurdistan Parliament.
The Independent High Electoral Commission for the referendum in the Kurdistan Region announced the allocation of 5 thousand and 933 stations, and 1260 polling stations for voters in the provinces and cities of the Kurdistan Region.
And the leadership of Kurdistan Demoratic Party (KDP) Masrour Barzani said on his Twitter Website ” The important takeaway from today’s election is the lasting victory for Kurdistan’s democratic process. I hope the election will be a fair and orderly process, and I urge all parties to respect the will of the people for the winning party”
