During the ceremony, Adnan Bozan, a member of the Yekiti Party’s Central Committee, delivered the party’s speech, while Professor Abdo Hussein delivered the teachers’ speech and Ghaida Darwish delivered the speech on behalf of the Yekiti Party’s Women’s Office.
The speeches focused on the importance of education and the role of science in the progress of peoples and the development of nations through the development of individuals and their mental and intellectual abilities, equipping them with the knowledge necessary to face life’s challenges and achieve professional and personal success.
The speeches emphasized that science is necessary for building conscious societies capable of facing problems, and that it is a continuous journey with effects that accumulate at all levels.
The difficulties faced by students over the past years were another focus of the speeches, During these speeches, the students’ determination and the role of their families in pursuing their education through private courses in the absence of regular schools, the high financial costs, and the fact that students are forced to take exams in large cities, which exhausts them and negatively affects their performance during the exam period, were highlighted.
Despite the harassment and the imposition of ideological curricula by the Democratic Union Party administration, Kurdish students continue their studies, from middle school to high school, and on to university.
