Democratic Union Party gunmen kidnap a member of The Kurdistan Democratic Party – Syria

Gunmen from the Democratic Union Party PYD administration kidnapped a member of The Kurdistan Democratic Party – Syria, took him to an unknown destination.

On Tuesday, April 2, 2024,  ” Ahmed Sofi was heading with some of his companions to carry out a funeral service. He was taken out of the car and was taken to an unknown destination.”

Ahmed Sofi is working as a journalist and  a member of the administrative body of the Syrian Kurdistan Writers Union also.

The Kurdish National Council in a statement denounced strongly these violations against the most basic human rights against citizens, the council’s comrades and its supporters.

he Kurdish National Council stressed that “this operation comes as a continuation of intimidatory practices against supporters of the Kurdish National Council to cover up their political and administrative failure.”
