Politician Osman Baydemir visits the Kurdish National Council office in Qamishlo

Kurdish politician Osman Baydemir visited the Kurdish National Council office in Qamishlo on Thursday, November 6, 2025, and was received by members of the Council’s Presidency.

The two sides discussed political developments in all parts of Kurdistan and the peace process in Turkish Kurdistan.

The convening of the Unity Conference and the Kurdish position were another focus of the talks between the two sides, during which the importance of adhering to the decisions of the conference was emphasized.

Osman Baydemir, born in 1971 in Diyarbakir, is a Kurdish politician, lawyer, human rights activist in Turkey, former member of parliament, and was mayor of Diyarbakir from 2004 to 2014. He is a member of the Peoples’ Democratic Party in Turkey.
