Public Security arrests two young men from Derik

Public Security arrested brothers Ivan and Abdulmuttalib yesterday as they were traveling from the city of Derik to the capital Damascus to complete their university studies.

The brothers, Ivan and Abdulmuttalib, were traveling to Damascus on an Izla bus when they were arrested by Public Security between the cities of Deir ez-Zor and Raqqa for having Kurdish photos on their personal phones.

The brothers, Ivan and Abdulmuttalib, are from the Miro family and obtained their high school diplomas this year. They were heading to Damascus to complete their university registration.

Their father, Hamdin Miro, demanded their immediate release.

A local source told Yekiti Media that the brothers do not belong to any military or political organizations.
