On Wednesday, January 09, 2019, Kurdistan Regional Government President Nechirvan Barzani and his deputy Qubad Talabani received the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in Erbil.

During the meeting, they discussed the latest political and security developments in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and the region.

The meeting also stressed the sensitivity of the stage and the importance of solving the obstacles and internal problems within the framework of dialogue and strengthening relations with the United States.
